The Journey of HTTK.

Friday, June 15th, 2007

*inhales and exhales*, aye aye, it’s coming to an end it seems…Allow me to explain myself…

Back when we(Sze Ken, Derek Khoo & Chong Keat) were in form 1, we were fascinated and captivated by the karate demonstration in the hall. During that time, the seniors were all mega handsome and I mean really handsome. There were Boon Chong, Hoi San, Jeremy, Victor Goh, Yong  Choi and it’s really something magnificent when you tell others that "I’m a karate member".

I still remember that time because we were trained under the guidance of sensei Ch’ng and of course, our seniors. Calvin Teng used to be in the club and he was quite arrogant about his stance stability but then, I think he was humiliated by Sensei Ch’ng when he was swept down the floor, mercilessly =P.(No injuries mind you). And after that was Derek’s ultimate weapon, the ‘Heian Sandan’ double crossing block(whatever you call it). Derek happily hollered, "I can kill anyone with this block" xD.Right….=P

Haha, things have changed a lot when we began our journey of upper secondary life, and of course our form 6 journey…I became the Chairman, Kenny being the state fighter and not forgetting my faithful partner, Derek. The both of us gave our best to manage the club and oh well, I admit I have made some mistakes…major ones, but thank God nothing really happened to the club…Just some firing here and there…But alas, I’M DONE WITH KARATE!!!WOOHOO! I just can’t wait for the AGM next Tuesday!!!It’s the long awaited moment where I’ll hand down the keys to the next chairman and bid farewell to my club xD. Although it’s goodbye to SXI karate, deep within us, there is always a place for the word ‘Karate’.Like what Sir(sensei Chew) has always said,…"once a karateka, forever a karateka". =D

It’s a happy journey and I thank God for seeing me through =D
Quote from Derek…"Farewell to SXI karate but the martial arts journey never ends"

Christopher: HTTK(Heng-tai team kata) for life man =D

1 Corinthians

13:1 If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 And
if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all
knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have
not love, I am nothing. 3 If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, [1] but have not love, I gain nothing.

4 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant 5 or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; [2] 6 it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. 7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

8 Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away. 11 When
I was a child, I spoke like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned
like a child. When I became a man, I gave up childish ways. 12 For
now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in
part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known.

13 So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

<3 is all you need people, God made us to experience His love, and the love of your other half =D
